Having been through the watching and the loss myself I can commiserate. It seems we need to dwell for a while on the horrors of the last days, the losing of the person before the person is lost, and it does take a while. You think you are past it and back it comes. Eventually, though, you start to remember the happier, healthier times and your remembrance becomes more selective; it becomes a choice to think of the sadder times.
