New York is never so eerie as when it's empty . . .

Enjoy the latest snowstorm!

This was the Ave A bus in one of the first storm nights some weeks ago and the driver let me get on at the last stop. It was really late and no one was around for a long long time across 14th. I get really happy in moments like these.

That's it, Meg! You've been away from NY too long! Time to come home and eat good food with me. (Ps - that's a bus).

I love New York the most when its quiet and empty just after a big snow. Greenwich Village becomes a village again. I hear the ghosts of horses hooves, the rattle of their harnesses. Soft halos of the gaslight's sooth my eyes and soul. Everything slows down and whispers in a loving voice "pace', peace"
